This document is structurally complete but has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in the launch market. Review is a launch gate, not a formality: entry fees plus prize pools attract contest and gaming regulation.

The agreement between you and Trendeen: entry fees, prize allocation, disqualification, appeals and payouts.

1. The service

Trendeen runs time-boxed competitions in which creators enter their own social media posts and are ranked on the verified engagement growth those posts achieve during the competition window. Outcomes are determined by measured audience response to content you published — not by chance.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract.
  • You must own or administer the account you compete with.
  • The account must be able to report insights — an Instagram Business or Creator account, or a Facebook Page you administer.
  • One entry per creator per competition, and one post per entry.

3. Entry fees

Entry fees are stated on the competition page before you pay and are collected by our payment processor. Your entry is confirmed only when the payment is verified.

Entry fees are non-refundable once your entry is confirmed, with one exception: if a competition closes below its published minimum entry count, it is voided and every entry fee is refunded in full to your Trendeen wallet.

4. Scoring and prize allocation

Your score is the weighted sum of growth on each metric, measured from a baseline snapshot taken the moment your entry is confirmed. Negative growth counts as zero. The published scoring weights and prize schedule are frozen once the first entry is confirmed and cannot change while the competition runs.

Ties are broken by higher comment growth, then higher share growth, then earlier entry confirmation. Prizes are allocated from the prize pool exactly as published, and are credited automatically to your wallet on settlement.

5. Prohibited conduct and disqualification

  • Purchasing engagement, using bots, or coordinating inauthentic activity of any kind.
  • Entering content you do not own or have the rights to publish.
  • Deleting or unpublishing an entered post before the window closes — the entry is disqualified without refund.
  • Operating multiple accounts to enter the same competition more than once.

Entries that trigger integrity signals are held for human review before any payout. Disqualification is recorded with a stated reason, the leaderboard re-ranks, and you are notified.

6. Appeals

If your entry is disqualified you may appeal within 7 days by replying to the notification email or writing to legal@trendeen.com. Appeals are reviewed by a person. Our decision on an appeal is final.

7. Wallet and payouts

  • Prizes are credited to your Trendeen wallet in NGN.
  • Withdrawals require a verified bank account in your name and are subject to a published minimum.
  • Withdrawals above a stated threshold are reviewed before they are sent.
  • Identity verification may be required above a cumulative payout threshold.
  • If you signed in with Instagram, a verified email address is required before your first withdrawal.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms. Suspension blocks entry and withdrawal while preserving your records and any settled results. You may delete your account at any time, subject to settling outstanding obligations.

9. Liability

Trendeen depends on data provided by Meta and on payment infrastructure operated by third parties. We are not liable for outages, metric reporting delays, or platform policy changes outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We will notify creators of material changes before they take effect. A live competition is always governed by the competition rules in force when it opened.
